EU Domestic Appliances
The energy demand for domestic appliances in households increases. Comfort and higher standards of living, consumer electronics and the Internet are some of the reasons. Effective ways to sensitize consumers and producers for the growing energy demand are the "EU labelling schemes" and the "Minimum Efficiency Requirements".
Legislation on Energy Labelling of household appliances
The EU labelling schemes increase the consumer awareness by pointing out the real energy use of household appliances through a label. The prize orientated consumer has now an environmental variable to compare energy using products.
