Introduction to the research work of BAYLOGIBay Zoltán Institute of Logistics and Production Engineering was founded by Bay Zoltán Foundation for Applied Research in 1993. The Institute is located in Miskolc, Hungary.
Young engineers and scientists under the leading of experienced researchers are doing the research in this Institute. The Institute participates in the University education, and his new modern laboratories give excellent possibilities for the students to do research as well as make their diploma theses. In the research the main task is to help the small and medium sized enterprises in solving high level technological and logistical problems.
Introduction to the research work of the Department for Recycling and LogisticsThe fundamental activity of the department is the research into the closed loop economy. In this theory manufacturing is considered only as a part of the life-cycle of the product followed by delivery, distribution, repair and maintenance during the use phase. Collection, disassembly and recycling of the used products are also considered and evaluated in this methodology.
The main research orientations of the department are the followings:
- product disassembly systems;
- logistic processes in recycling;
- management of implementation of regional waste management projects;
- management of information, IT background and database development;
- feasibility and expert studies on waste management.
