Mr. Pamminger, coming from the Vienna University of Technology, introduced the ?ECODESIGN PILOT? to the audience. ?ECODESIGN PILOT? stands for ?Produkt Innovations, Lern- und Optimierungs Tool? and is an efficient tool for people being active in product development. The tool focuses on the optimization of electronics by for example reducing the diversity of materials, identifying harmful substances and analyzing the applicability of products for reuse and recycling. According to the current EU-law, The ?ECODESIGN PILOT? pays attention to material bans and the identification of toxic substances taking every life-cycle-phase of the product into account.
